How long does morning sickness begin and end? This is a question many pregnant women ask themselves as they begin the early stages of their pregnancy. When does morning sickness start and when does it end?
Morning sickness is quite common in women before and during the first trimester of pregnancy. More than 80% of pregnant women will experience nausea and vomiting during the first trimester, even if they do not get pregnant. But for some women, the illness can be so severe that they cannot leave the hospital room. In this case, doctors usually recommend some medications, but you should always ask your doctor what treatment is best.
Some healthcare professionals believe that morning sickness symptoms are actually just a side effect of a more serious medical condition that a pregnant woman can deal with. While it may be true that some women do suffer from morning sickness, there are others who only experience morning sickness during early pregnancy.
Doctors usually view nausea and vomiting as symptoms of another medical condition, such as depression or anxiety
Although doctors often prescribe medications to these pregnant women, there are other things that can be done. For example, some women suffering from morning sickness may try relaxation techniques to reduce the severity of their symptoms.
Another way to deal with symptoms of morning sickness is to try medicinal herbs. Many pregnant women are surprised at the success of some herbs and they can actually treat morning sickness in early pregnancy. Herbs such as lavender oil and tea tree oil can be very beneficial for women who have difficulty breathing due to nausea and vomiting and other pregnancy symptoms.
Some pregnant women claim that drinking milk is helpful because it helps them feel better. However, while there are some who recommend drinking milk for pregnant women, most doctors do not recommend this for obvious reasons, and instead suggest drinking a small amount of water, which can actually help in soothing the stomach.
Doctors and women alike agree that the most effective way to deal with the symptoms of morning sickness is to avoid the illnesses mentioned above. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should visit your doctor right away so that your doctor can provide you with medication that will treat your illness.

For those of you just beginning your pregnancy phase, I would suggest starting to plan your activities around the time that you ovulate. The best time for you to conceive is usually between ovulation cycles two to four weeks before your menstrual cycle. During this time, you should also be eating foods that contain high amounts of folic acid in them.
Don't drink caffeine or alcohol. Caffeine can dehydrate the body and make it hard for you to regulate your temperature. Alcohol, as well as some foods, can also dehydrate the body and make it harder for you to stay cool.
Don't eat or snack when you're under stress. Stressed individuals are more likely to suffer from morning sickness and have difficulty sleeping.
Eat a healthy diet. A good diet can help your body regulate temperature better and keep your metabolism up.
Eat an apple prior to every meal. Apples contain a substance called lycopene, which can help in regulating your blood sugar level, and can also help you feel better.
